Custody Accounts

Custody accounts are for people who wish to manage their own investments, but would like someone to act as financial secretary. Bank of Smithtown can hold stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and almost any type of investment in your custody account.

We protect securities from fire, theft and other hazards, collect mature or called bonds, sell or exercise stock rights on your behalf and take care of all routine investment chores. Sales or purchases of securities will be carried out according to your instructions. All income will be collected and can be remitted to you on a monthly or quarterly basis.
